Veteran actor Abdus Sattar is no more. The actor who is popularly known for his role in the film “Saat Bhai Champa” passed away at 2 am before the morning of August 19. He has for long been suffering from old-age complications. Abdus Sattar was a lifelong member of Chalachitra Shilpi Samity or Film Actors’ Association of Bangladesh.
The present General Secretary of Film Actors’ Association, Zayed Khan claims that Abdus Sattar appeared in more than four hundred films in his nearly three-decade long career. He has also acted in a huge number of TV dramas. Sattar has also directed three films.
Sattar started his acting career in the film “Aamir Sawdagor Bhelua Sundori.” The film was directed by Ibn Mizan. In 1984 he made his first lead appearance. This film named “Rongin Rupban” was released from Alamgir Pictures. Later he acted in Madhumala Madan Kumar, Saat Bhai Champa. The films directed by him are- Ashanta Dheu, Rakhe Allah Mare Ke and Faisala.
