Volleyball League: Titas Club makes flying start beating BD Police 3-0

Dhaka – The Crony Group Dhaka Metropolis Premier, First and 2nd Division Volleyball Leagues, began on Monday at the Dhaka Volleyball Stadium with Titas Club making a flying start beating Bangladesh Police by 25-20, 25-13, 25-22 points (3-0 sets) in the premier league opener.Earlier, Deputy Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Advocate Fazle Rabbi Miah inaugurated the league as the chief guest in the afternoon. Managing Director Priyo Group and Vice President of Bangladesh Volleyball Federation (BVF) Moinul Islam Biplob and BVF general secretary Ashiqur Rahman Miku were also present on the occasion.Twenty eight teams are taking part in three leagues– 10 teams in the premier league and nine each teams in the first and second division leagues respectively.Ten premier league teams are: Titas Club, Power Development Board, Border Guard Bangladesh, Bangladesh Police, Water Development Board, Wari Club, Fire Service, Azad SC, Dhaka Sabuj and Bangladesh Jail.Tuesday’s Premier League matches are: Water Development Board vs Wari Club (2:30 pm), and Power Development Board vs Azad Sporting Club (4pm).UNB news agency
