Bangladeshi high-tech manufacturer Walton has been named as the title sponsor of the upcoming edition of National Cricket League which is set to begin from October 10. In a press meet on Monday at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced Walton as the title sponsor. They have been rewarded the sponsorship for the next three years. Walton played the same role during the previous five years of NCL.
Nizam Uddin Chowdhury, the Chief Executive Officer of BCB, thanked Walton for their immense interest in cricket.
Executive Director of Walton Uday Hakim, Additional Director Milton Ahmed were present at the press conference.
The 21st edition of the national cricket league will kick off on October 10 throughout the country in four different venues. A total of eight teams will participate in the event and the games will be played under two tiers, reports UNB.
