World Bank (WB) country director Johannes Zutt said the Bangladesh government can construct the much-talked-about Padma Bridge with its own fund.He came up with the observation in a meeting with Finance Minister AMA Muhith at secretariat on Tuesday.
Johannes Zutt said, “We will not involve in financing the Padma Bridge, and obviously, Bangladesh government has its own budget to finance the bridge.”
He also said World Bank will grant US$1.6 billion as loan to Bangladesh for the current fiscal year and the same amount for the next fiscal. (Source: banglanews24.com)
