Wind changes, blowing in AL direction: Nasim

Awami League presidium member Mohammad Nasim on Wednesday said the grateful people want to bring the party back to power for the success of the present government.   “We’ve toured the villages… the field-level information indicate that the wind is now blowing in the opposite direction. The grateful people want to bring Awami League back to power impressed by it present government success,” he said.   The former home minister said this while addressing a discussion organised by Bangabandhu Academy at the Institute of Diploma Engineers in the city.   About Prime Minister’s son Sajeeb Wajed Joy, Nasim said, “If a meritorious youth like Joy wants to enter the politics that should be welcomed. He wants to help the country in the field of information technology with his merit and efficiency standing beside Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina… So there’s no scope to talk against him.”   On election-time government, Nasim said, “The next election will be held under the present Prime Minister. We can assure all that there’ll be no rigging. So the election will be held, no matter who are joining and who are not.”   Bangabandhu Academy secretary general Humayun Kabir, among others, spoke at the programme held with its adviser Haji Mohamamd Selim in the chair. -UNB
