Women’s Cricket: Bangladesh to play India in 2nd one-day on Sunday

Dhaka — Bangladesh Women’s A team will play touring India Women’s A team in the 2nd match of three-match one-day series at Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram on Sunday.

In the series opener, India thumped Bangladesh by eight wickets at the same venue on Friday.In the first one dayer, Bangladesh opted to bat first after winning toss and were bundled out cheaply for 104 runs in 45.3 overs with Nigar Sultana Joty and Fahima Khatun scoring the team highest 17 runs each.

Besides, Mursida Khatun (10) and Fargana Haque Pinky (10) were the other two Bangladeshi batters to reach double-digit.For India, Tanuja Kanwar and Sushree Dibyadarshini took three wickets each to dismiss the 2nd string Bangladesh Women team only for 104 runs.

In reply, India Women’s team scored the match winner 105 for loss of two wickets in 37.5 overs to seal the game by a comfortable eight wickets.

Rumana Ahmed and Shaila Sharmin took one wicket each.The remaining match of the series will be held on October 8 at the same venue.

After the one-day series, both the teams will lock the horns in the three match T20 series on October 11, 12 and 14, all at the Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.UNB
