Women’s Olympic Qualifiers: Bangladesh to play Nepal on Tuesday 

Dhaka- Bangladesh Women’s team will play Himalayan nation Nepal in their 3rd and last Group C Asian Qualification match of the Women’s Olympic Football Tokyo 2020 on Tuesday at the Thuwunna Stadium in Yangon, Myanmar to complete the formalities only.
The match will kick-off at 2:30 pm Bangladesh time.Two top teams of the Group C, India and Myanmar, will meet each other in the last group match, also on Tuesday at 5:30 pm (BST) to deicide the group champions.
Touring Bangladesh Women’s team, which has already eliminated from the race and remained at the bottom of the four-team Group C without any point after conceding two humiliating defeats, have nothing to gain from the Nepal match, but to earn a consolation draw or win focusing on their target of gathering valuable experiences for the SAFF Women’s Championship.
Youthful Bangladesh Women’s team, with an average age of 18 years, made a frustrating start losing to hosts and upper ranked Myanmar by 0-5 goals and confirmed their elimination from the meet after a shocking 1-7 goals defeat against their well-known rivals India in the 2nd on Sunday.
After spending a sleepless night for conceding a heavy defeat against India, the young Bangladesh girls undertakea recovery session on Monday and try to fix a plan for their last game against Nepal, which played 1-1 draw against two stronger sides India and Myanmar.
On completion of two group matches, India dominated the list securing four points with six plus goals, Myanmar followed the leader neck and neck, also with four points, with five plus goals, Nepal also keep their 2nd round hope alive with unbeaten run with two points from as many matches having two draws while Bangladesh out of the race without any point conceding 11 goals against scoring one by Krishna Rani Sarker.
