World Cup Archery: Shana advances to round of 16 in men’s recurve singles

Dhaka – Bangladesh’s premier archer Mohammad Ruman Shana advanced to the round of 16 in the men’s recurve singles on the 2nd day of ongoing Archery World Cup, Stage-4 at Maifield in Berlin on Wednesday.
Shana will now face Brady Ellison of the USA on Thursday at 2:15 pm local time.
On the day, Shana defeated Rajan Kalapurayil of Switzerland in the round of 48 and Nomura Tsubasa of Japan in the round of 24, both by the identical scoreline of 6 sets to 2.
In the women’s recurve singles, Bangladesh’s Beauty Roy lost to Alexandra Mirca of Moldova 6 sets to love in the round of 24.
Beauty had advanced to the round defeating Mehak Sangani of Sri Lanka 6 sets to 2 in the round of 48.
Bangladesh mixed doubles team, comprising Shana and Beauty, were eliminated from the round of 12 of the recurve mixed teams event, going down 5 sets to 1 against Alen Remar and Tihana Kovacic of Croatia.UNB
