Dhaka-The department of Environmental science under the Agriculture faculty of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAU) celebrated the world Environment Day on Sunday with amid much enthusiasm and festivity on the campus.The department chalked out a day-long programme to celebrate the day including colourful procession with types of poster, festoon and placard with the participation of students, teachers and staffs of university.
The rally was started at around 10:00 am from administrative building that marched all important streets on the campus while the teachers, students, officers of the agriculture faculty took part.
After the rally ended at ‘Mukhtijuddhob Sritty stombho’, a monument of liberation war, tree plantation programme was inaugurated there by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Ali Akbar.
Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Ali Akbar, associate professor & head of the department Dr. Md. Shahadat Hossen, proctor Prof Dr AKM Zakir Hossain attended on the programme.-BAU Correspondent
