Demanding the ban of Jamat-Shibir, a group of cultural, political and professional organizations called countrywide hartal from April 5 evening to April 6 evening.Sammilita Sangskritik Jote, Ekatturer Ghatal Dalal Nirmul Committe and Progatishil Peshajibi Samonnaya Parishad called the hartal. Other organizations including Sector Commanders‘ Forum also supported the hartal with same demands.
Religious political party Bangladesh Islami Jote also called hartal on the day protesting anti-Islam activities of Jamat-Shibir and demanding punishment for atheist bloggers.
Ekatturer Ghatal Dalal Nirmul Committe general secretary Kazi Mukul told bangalnews that they will declare the programme demanding ban of anti-liberation war religious political party Jamat-e-Islam and its student wing Islami Chhatra Shibir.
Bangladesh Islami Jote chairman Hafez Mawlana Ziaul Hasan told banglanews on Wednesday night that they will call hartal for April 6 and inform other media by arranging a press conference at National Press Club at 11:00 Thursday. UNB
