An unidentified minor boy was killed and 15 others were injured in separate road accidents in the city and district on Friday.
Police outpost sources at Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) said an unidentified minor boy aged around eight was killed after a CNG-auto-rickshaw dashed him at city’s Kalamia Bazar under Bakalia thana around 12pm.Locals brought the boy to CMCH where attending doctors declared him dead.In another incident, nearly 15 picnic-goers were injured after a Cox’s Bazar-bound picnic fell into a roadside ditch in Gachbaria area under Chandanaish upazila of the district around 10 this morning.Chandanaish Police said the accident occurred when a picnic bus coming from Rupganj under Narayanganj district fell into a roadside ditch on the Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway after the driver lost control over the steering. Five among the 15 injured were admitted to CMCH with critical conditions while the others were treated at Upazila Health Complex. -BSS
