A housewife was killed and two more people injured in two separate
incidents of lightning strike at Jugidanga village in Porsha upazila
on Friday night.The deceased was identified as Iran Begum, 32, wife of Arif Hossain of
the village.Locals said Iran Begum died on the spot when a thunderbolt struck her
while she was working beside the house at about 8.00 pm.
Abdur Quader, a farmer, was also injured during the incident.
In another incident, a man named Mizanur Rahman was injured by
lightning strike in Kalaibari area of the upazila.The injured were admitted to Porsha Upazila Health Complex. -UNB, Naogaon
