Dhaka – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 1,012 bottles of Indian Phensidyl syrup after searching a truck in Sonamasjid area of Shibganj upazila in Chapainawabganj and arrested its driver in this connection on Thursday morning.The arrestee was identified as Shahidul Islam,35, son of Jahidul Islam, a resident of Tangramari area in Haripur upazila of Rajshahi district. Lieutenant Colonel SM Abul Ahsan, commanding officer of BGB Battalion-9, said tipped off, a team of the border force conducted a
drive in the area and intercepted a Sonamasjid port-bound truck at about 7:00am.Later, BGB members recovered 1,012 bottles of Phensidyl after searching the vehicle and arrested its driver Shahidul.A case was filed in this connection.
