A court here on Monday sent 11 BNP leaders and activists to jail in a case filed for arson attack.
Pirojpur Chief Judicial Magistrate Sumaiya Khanam passed the order when all the accused surrendered before the court upon completion of the High Court bail.Pirojpur District BNP unit Vice-President and Nazirpur upazila Union Parishad Chairman Candidate Nazrul Islam Khan were among the accused.Earlier, a group of miscreants set fire to the district office of Awami League at Sadar road in the upazila on January 10, 2014.Nanna Poddar, secretary for Poura unit Awami League, filed a case accusing 11 BNP men with Pirojpur Police Station in this connection.On January 20, the High Court granted bail to all the accused in the case asking them to surrender before the lower court on February 24. -UNB, Pirojpur
