A total of 1,13,338 students including 52,614 females are going to appear at the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations-2014 under the Rajshahi Education Board, scheduled to be held from April 3.
The students from 670 educational institutions in eight districts under this education board will take part in the examinations, which will be held in 182 centres.The number of last year’s students in the HSC examination was 1,06,189.Chairman-in-charge of the board Prof Abdur Rouf Mian revealed this at
a press conference held at the conference hall of the education board in Rajshahi yesterday afternoon.”We have completed almost all the necessary preparations to hold the examination in smooth and peaceful manner,” said Prof Rouf Mian.In this context, he mentioned the government is committed to holding the examination in copying-free atmosphere and the board authority is working relentlessly to make the government’s commitment successful.He informed that the centre-secretaries have been asked to follow the examination rules and regulations strictly. Punitive measures will also be taken against the institutions which will be found guilty of any irregularity, Prof Rouf Mian added.To this end, he said adequate number of vigilance teams would be working for ensuring a copying-free atmosphere in the examination centres.In addition to seven striking teams, 150 vigilance teams will work to ensure smooth and peaceful examinations.
