A total of 117 dengue patients were admitted to Gaibandha Modern Hospital (GMH) till today and of them, 101 patients were released from the hospital after treatment.
Now, some 15 patients are undergoing treatment in GMH and one in Fulchhari Upazila Health Complex.
This was disclosed by civil surgeon (CS) Dr. ABM Abu Hanif in a monthly meeting of district development coordination committee at the conference room of District Collectorate Building here on Sunday afternoon.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Abdul Matin presided over the meeting while additional DC (General) Alamgir Kabir Saikat moderated the function.
CS Dr. ABM Abu Hanif also said a number of admitted patients were referred to Rangpur Medical College Hospital for better treatment.
No man was infected with dengue disease in Gaibandha the CS said adding that all were infected in Dhaka.
CS Dr. ABM Abu Hanif put emphasis on creating social awareness among the people about dengue diseases, and keeping continuation to cleanliness drives in the society and it had got positive result of the drives to prevent dengue in the district, reports BSS from Gaibandha.
