The government has promoted about 1,500 doctors in government hospitals, health administration and medical colleges.A gazette notification of Health Ministry was issued to this effect on Sunday night.
Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the ministry Parikkhit Chowdhury confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Sources said of the promoted there are associate professors, senior consultants and junior consultants.
