Police in a drive arrested 17 activists of BNP and Jamaat-Shibir from different areas of four upazilas of the district early Monday, on charge of subversion plan.
Of the arrested, eight were from Muradnagar upazila, four from Daudkandi, three from Debidwar and two from Chandina.Sources at the office of Comilla superintendent of police said a team of police arrested the activists of the 18-party opposition alliance in the dead of night on suspicion of a plan for committing subversive activities during the ongoing political turmoil.UNB, Comilla
