MUNSHIGANJ: A father and his son were drowned in Ichhamati River at Sirajdikhan upazila in the district on Friday morning.The deceased were identified as Khokon Mia, 32, and his son Ehsan, 7, of Pawsa village of the upazila.
Sources said Khokon along with his son went to Ichhamati River to take bath ahead of Eid Jamaat. At one stage of taking bath, both father and son drowned in the river.
Officer-in-Charge of Sirajdhikhan Thana Abul Bashar confirmed the news.
