18 institutions get multimedia equipment in Gaibandha

A total of 18 academic institutions in secondary level of Sadar upazila today got equipments for multimedia class rooms from the government here.A simple function organized by Sadar upazila parishad was held at the auditorium of the parishad with UNO Ashraful Momin Khan in the chair.Whip of the Jatiya Sangsad and local lawmaker Mahabub Ara Begum Gini addressed the function as the chief guest and acting upazila parishad chairman Rashida Begum was present as special guest.The function was also addressed, among others, by principal of Sadar Upazila Model School and College Amzad Hossain Chowdhury, chairman of Darul Huda Alim Madrasha Nawsher Alam, and Ghagoa Union Parishad Chairman Aminuruzzaman Ringku.The speakers urged the teachers to take their classes through multimedia projector to help build digital Bangladesh by 2021 envisioned by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.The students would have to be accustomed to the latest and modern teaching technology gradually instead of traditional teaching method to attain the cherished goal of the government, they said.Whip Mahabub Ara Begum Gini urged the school authorities to take the classes for the students through multimedia projector preparing the need base contents in the respective subject.Later, the whip formally handed over seven sorts of equipment including laptop, printer, projector and data cables of Taka 22 lakh to the chiefs of the academic institutions. -BSS, Gaibandha
