Chapainawabganj, Aug 13: A total of nineteen more persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the district on Wednesday, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 567.Fourteen newly detected patients are from Chapainawabganj sadar upazila, three from Shibganj upazila and other two patients are from Nachole upazila.
Chapainawabganj Civil Surgeon office received the results of 186 samples last night from National Institute of Laboratory Medicine and Referral Centre, Sher-e-Bangla Nagar, Dhaka, Civil Surgeon (CS) of Chapainawabganj Dr. Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury said.
A total of ten persons have so far died of COVID-19 and 301 patients have recovered from the disease in the district, he added.
He further added that 18 patients have been under treatment in Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital.
