1st Test: Taijul shakes Zimbabwe 85/2* before lunch

Dhaka- Bangladesh spin bowler Taijul Islam got two top-order batsmen of visiting Zimbabwe on 85* runs in the first innings before the lunch break on day one in the first Test of a two-match series at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium on Saturday.Zimbabwe skipper-cum-opener Hamilton Masakadza [52* off 99b; 4×4; 2×6] and Sean Williams [13* off 41b; 1×4] were in the third stand when the bails were drawn for the lunch.
Zimbabwe opened the innings with bat after winning the toss and played 31 overs for their collection at the latest Test venue.
Taijul bowled out Brian Chari [13 off 31b; 2×4] for Bangladesh’s first breakthrough in the innings 10.4 overs with Zimbabwe’s collection on 35 runs and dismissed Brendan Taylor on single digit before the visitors reached to 50 runs mark.
B Taylor was caught by NazmulHossainShanto in the 16.2 overs, leaving his side on 47/2.
