2 ‘arms traders’ held with pistols, ammo in Magura

Dhaka-Police arrested two alleged arms traders along with three foreign-made pistols, six magazines and four rounds of bullet from two buses at Keshtopur on the Dhaka-Khulna highway in Shalikha upazila in Magura on Wednesday.The arrestees were identified as Kuddus Molla, son of Sirajul Islam of Bakchar area of Jessore town, and Alamgir, son of Hanef Ali of Kulchar village in Sharsha upazila of Jessore district,UNB News Agency Reported.
Additional superintendent of police Tariqul Islam said tipped off, a team of police conducted a drive in the area and intercepted a
Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Shohagh Paribahan’ in the afternoon.Later, the law enforcers arrested Kuddus and recovered one foreign-made pistol, two magazines and three rounds of bullet from his possession.Following his statement, police halted a Dhaka-bound bus of ‘Hanif Paribahan’ and arrested Alamgir.The law enforcers also recovered two foreign pistols, four magazines and two rounds of bullet from his possession.A case was filed with Shalikha Police Station.
