2 Bangladeshis rescued from traffickers

Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on Sunday night rescued two Bangladeshis, including a child, while they were being trafficked to the country through Daudpur border of Birampur upazila.The victims were identified as Sheuly Akhtar, 22, daughter of Moktar Hossain of Chhotodhar village of Atwari upazila of Panchagarh district and Junayet Siddique, 5, son of Jamiul Islam of Boro Songol village of Nilphamari district.
The BSF handed them over to Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) on Monday.
Lt. Col Mizanur Rahman, commander of Phulbari-40 BGB Camp, said a team of BSF rescued Sheuly and Junayet from their land while they were being sent to India by traffickers.
The BSF team also arrested a trafficker, Osman Molla, during the raid
and handed over him to Indian police.
A case was filed with Birampur Police Station in this connection.
