Two motorcyclists were killed in a road accident on the Dhaka-Khulna Highway in Vabukdia area in Nagarkanda upazila here on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as M Shahin, 35, son of Dr Nannu of Chowdhury Kanda village in Bhanga upazila, and his cousin M Ismail Hossain, 40.
Nagarkanda Police Station sub-inspector Abul Kalam Azad said the accident took place in the area around 8:30am while a speeding truck collided head-on with the motorcycle of Shahin and Ismail when they were overtaking another vehicle, leaving the duo dead on the spot. -UNB, Faridpur
