At least two people were killed and 10 others injured as a truck crashed into a bus in front of Battail Ansar Camp in the district town on Friday night.
Of the deceased, one was identified as Rabiul Islam, 25, son of Farid Hossain, a resident of Hatiya Charpara under Islami University thana.Abu Bakkar Siddique, additional superintendent of police, Kushtia, said a truck dashed a parked Dhaka-bound bus from behind on the Kushtia-Jhenidah Highway in the area at about 10:30 pm, leaving the truck’s helper dead on the spot and eleven others injured.The injured were rushed to Kushtia Medical College Hospital where Rabiul, a bus passenger, succumbed to his injuries.Police recovered the bodies and sent those to hospital morgue for autopsy.A case was filed in this connection. -UNB, Kushtia
