Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) arrested two alleged drug traders with 1760 Yaba tablets from Nawdapara Bus Stand area under Shah Mukhdum Police Station in the city early hours today, RAB sources here said.The detained persons were identified as Abul Kalam alias Kabir, 38, son of Noyan Bishwas and Ali Hossain, 24, son of Mohabbat Ali. They are the residents of Mujib Nagar Upazila of Meherpur district.
On a tip-off, a team of the elite force conducted a sudden raid in the area at around 5.30 am and arrested them with 1760 yaba tablets, Taka 10,000 in cash and two mobile phone sets.A case was recorded with the police station concerned in this connection and the seized goods and arrested persons were handed over to the police.(BSS)
