2 found dead in Sylhet, Comilla

Two people, including a local Awami League leader, were found dead in Sylhet and Comilla districts on Friday.
In Sylhet, police recovered the body of Javed Ali, 50, organisation secretary of Usmanpur union unit of Awami League in Osmaninagar Police Station and son of late Tahir Ullah, from his in-laws’ residence at Madhabpur under the police station in the evening.Police said Javed might have been suffocated to death on Wednesday night when his wife and son were not present at the house. Police said they recovered his body with his hands and legs tied with rope.
The body was sent to Sylhet MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
In Comilla, a man reportedly killed his sister, Piyara Begum over a land dispute at Kandi village in Monaharganj at noon.
The deceased was the wife of Ali Mia of Sonaimuri in Noakhali.
Family sources said Piyara’s brother Jahangir strangulated her to death and then hanged the body from a mango tree on Wednesday night to make it appear that she committed suicide.
Officer-in-charge of Monaharganj Police Station Harun-or-Rashid said they recovered the body and sent it to Comilla Medical College Hospital morgue. – UNB
