2 hanging bodies recovered in capital

Dhaka, June 22 – In separate incidents, police have recovered the hanging bodies of two people in Shahjadpur and Dhanmondi areas in the city.
The deceased were identified as Pranta Pirich, 24, son of Ranjit Pirich, and Mohiuddin Jahangir, 55.
Being informed, sub-inspector Anwar Hossain of Gulshan Police Station went to the residence of Pranta, a cook, at GP-Ka-69 of Shahjadpur and recovered his hanging body around 2 am on Saturday.
The body was sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for postmortem.
Pranta might have committed suicide, Anwar said, adding that they are yet to know the reason.
In another incident, SI Md Enamul Haque recovered the hanging body of Jahangir from his rented flat at Dhanmondi Road-9/A around 8:30pm on Friday.
Quoting family members, the police officer said Jahangir had been suffering from mental problem for the last six years.
He might have committed suicide hanging himself from a ceiling fan when other family members were staying out of the home, he said.
Jahangir was involved in share business at Dhaka Stock Exchange. He lost his mental balance after losing lot of money there, Enamul said, quoting the family. – UNB
