Two people, including a policeman, were injured in a crude bomb attack in Sadar upazila of the district on Thursday night.
The victims were identified as constable Mamun, 32, of Sadar Police Station, and Rana, 35, the driver of a police motorcycle.Officer-in-charge of the police station Enamul Haque said a team of seven police personnel -– five in a microbus and another on a bike — were going to Mondalgati village to arrest some accused in a murder case.
When they reached in between Mondalgati and Kholadanga, a group of miscreants hurled two crude bombs targeting the law enforcers, leaving Mamun and motorcycle driver Rana injured.
They were taken to JessoreMedicalCollegeHospital, the OC said. – UNB
