Two people were killed and 25 others injured as a bus plunged into a ditch at Barsha in Birganj upazila on Sunday morning.
The deceased were identified as Shoma Rani Das, 15 of the upazila and Manata Rani Rai,55, of Kaharol upazila. Police said the Birganj bound bus fell into the ditch when it driver was trying to give side to a motorcycle around 9 am, leaving its two passengers dead on the spot and 25 other injured.The injured were rushed to Birganj upazila health complex. -UNB, Dinajpur
