Gazipur – An unidentified man and a woman was killed and five others injured as a truck hit a bus on Chandra-Nabinagar highway in Tetuibari area of city on Monday morning.Sub-inspector Mohammad Harun, in-charge pf Chakraborty Police Outpost, said the accident took place in the area around 8am as the paddy-laden truck hit the bus, leaving a bus passenger dead on the spot and five others injured,UNB News Agency Reported.On information, police recovered the body.The injured were admitted at Sheikh Faziletunnesa Hospital in the area and the woman succumbed to her injuries on the way to hospital.Following the accident, the locals torched a bus of Titat Paribahan in the area and vandalised several vehicles.They also blocked the highway which halted vehicular movement in the area for an hour, added the SI.
