2 minors hurt in bomb blast in Bhola

Two minor boys were seriously injured as a crude bomb blasted at Algi village in Dhonia union of Sadar upazila of Bhola on Monday noon.

The injured were identified as Hasnaine,7, son of Ismail, and Naim, 5, son of Alauddin.

Both Ismail and Alauddin are farmers by profession.

Locals said Hasnaine and Naim received burn injuries as a bomb exploded when they were playing with a ball-like object.

People rescued them and got them admitted to Bhola General Hospital with severe wounds.

On information, police visited the spot and recovered remains of the blasted bomb.

No one was arrested in this connection.

Locals said a group of people of the village make crude bombs and supply those to different places.

Mobassir Ali, officer-in-charge of Bhola Sadar thana, confirmed the incident.  -UNB
