2 missing schoolboys found dead in Dinajpur, Natore

The bodies of two schoolboys were recovered from separate places in Dinajpur and Natore districts on Monday morning after they had gone missing.
The deceased were identified as Saiedul Mursalin, 14, a class IX student of Cheradangi High School in Sadar upazila of Dinajpur district and son of Moksedul Islam of Mahabbatpur village in the same upazila, and Hridoy Hossain, a class IV student of Dhulauri Government Primary School in Singra upazila of Natore district.Police and locals said Saiedul did not return home after Rashidul Islam, son of Obaidur Rahman of Mohabbatpur village, called him out o the house on Thursday morning.The victim’s family members alleged that Rashidul demanded Tk50 lakh as ransom over phone from the father of Saiedul.On Saturday morning, police arrested Rashidul and another man, Sabujar Rahman as Saiedul’s relative, Saidur Rahman lodged a complaint against them with Kotwali Police Station.Today (Monday) morning, local people found the body of Saiedul in a paddy field at the village and informed police.Later, law enforces recovered the decomposed body and arrested five people, including the alleged kidnapper’s father Obaidur Rahman from their house.Police also found the sign of digging inside the house of Obaidur Rahman, where the body of Saiedul was likely to be kept.Officer-in-charge of Dinajpur Kotwali Police Station Altaf Hossain said that the victim might have been killed by the rivals as a sequel to the land-related dispute.On the other hand, police recovered the body of another schoolboy, Rhidoy from beside the Barnoi River in Singra upazila in the morning.
The victim’s family members said Rhidoy had gone out of the house on Sunday afternoon and did not return home.The reason behind the killing could not be known immediately. -UNB, Dhaka
