Three children including two siblings drowned in a pond in Toragar village under Hajiganj Upazila of the district.The deceased were identified as Sharmin, 8, Eshita, 7, daughters of Abdul Quader and Lima, 7, daughter of Emran Hossain.
Family sources said they went missing from Tuesday noon. Family members searched for them but failed to find out the girls till night.
Later, they informed Hajiganj fire service to find out the missing girls.
At one stage of frantic search, fire service men recovered the bodies of the children from a nearby pond on Wednesday morning.
