Two wild elephants were killed at a frontier village in Dewanganj upazila of the district on Saturday night.According to police the wild elephants were electrocuted at the village Makhanerchar under Dewanganj upazila in the district about 500 to 700 yards inside Bangaladesh territory from the Indian boarder at around 9:30 pm.
Police said the wild elephants come down from Balughat hill tracts in Meghalaya state of India in Bangladeshi territory for food. BSS, Jamalpur
