Dhaka – Two housewives were found dead in Rangamati and Panchagarh districts on Saturday.In Rangamati, the body of a housewife was recovered at Bangalhalia in Rajasthali upazila on Saturday morning.Quoting family members, Md Jahirul Anwar, officer-in-charge of
Chandraghona Police Station, said Rahima Khatun, wife of Mohammd Bablu, locked into an altercation with her husband over family affairs on Friday night.Later, her body was found lying on the bed on Saturday morning.Rahima might have been strangulated to death by her husband as he went into hiding after the incident, said the OC.

Victim’s brother filed a case with the police station in this connection.In Panchagarh, a housewife was beaten and strangulated to death allegedly by her husband and mother-in-law in Gofapara area of Sadar upazila.Quoting local people, police said Maleka Akhter Mala, 21, wife of a van driver Dulal, was severely beaten by her husband and mother-in-law Hawa Begum following a family feud on Friday.She was rushed to Panchagarh Adhunik Sadar Hospital where her condition deteriorated. Later, she died on way to Rangpur Medical College Hospital Saturday noon.Police recovered the body arrested Dulal and Hawa Begum in thisn connection. (UNB)
