Dhaka – Two women on a morning walk along Madhupur-Jamalpur road were killed when a Jamalpur-bound microbus ran them over in Pathanbari area in Dhanbari upazila in Tangail on Thursday morning.The deceased were identified as Reba Begum, 32, wife of Babul Bakul, and Shahaton Begum, 50, wife of Abdul Mazid, of the area.Mujibur Rahman, officer-in-charge of Dhanbari Police Station, said the accident happened in the area when a Jamalpur-bound microbus hit them while walking in the morning, leaving the duo dead on the spot.The driver of the microbus managed to flee the scene, leaving the car.On information, police recovered the bodies and seized the microbus, said the OC, adding that a case was filed with the police station.
