200 marginal farmers get agri-incentives in Dimla

The Department of Agriculture Extension (DAE) distributed special agriculture incentives in terms of seed and fertilisers among 200 small and marginal farmers of Dimla upazila in Nilphamari on Monday.
The incentives were distributed at a function held at Dimla upazila parisahd office premises to assist the small and marginal farmers in cultivating various crops during the Kharip-1 season.
Member of the Parliament from Nilphamari-1 constituency Md Aftab Uddin Sarker distributed the incentives in the function as the chief guest with Dimla Upazila Agriculture Officer Agriculturist Mrs. Nazmun Nahar in the chair.
Upazila Agriculture Officer Sekendar Ali, Agriculture Extension Officer Kanak Chandra Roy, Plant Protection Officer Md. Bahauddin and Dimla Sadar union Chairman Abul Kashem Sarker were present as special guests.
Agriculturist Nazmun Nahar said the agriculture incentives allocated by the government were distributed among 200 small and marginal farmers of Dimla
upazila to assist them in cultivating summer mungbean on one bigha of land
each.
The chief guest distributed 5-kg mungbean seed, 5-kg of Muriate of Potash and 10-kg Di-ammonium Phosphate fertilisers among each of the beneficiary farmers for cultivating mungbean on their lands.
The chief guest called upon the beneficiary farmers to make best use of the agriculture incentives allocated by the present government free of costs in cultivating mungbean on their land during this Kharip-1 season, reports BSS from Rangpur.
