22 girl’s colleges get Asia Foundation books on Int’l Women’s Day

Dhaka – The Asia Foundation’s Books for Asia program in Bangladesh will celebrate the International Women’s Day by distributing 4000 books across a wide variety of disciplines, such as English, Business, Management, and Computer Science, to 22 Girl’s colleges from all over the country. Which values more than one million taka. The mission of this event is to advance girls’ education and close the gender gap in education through access to information and knowledge. Books for Asia Bangladesh aim to reach every girl’s schools and colleges in the country.The Honorable Deputy Managing Director of Abdul Monem Ltd. A.S.M. Mainuddin Monem will be present as chief guests for the occasion. Managing Director of Rapport Bangladesh Dr. Mosharraf Hossain, The Asia Foundation’s Bangladesh Acting Deputy Country Representative Mr. Shameem Siddiqi and Books for Asia Coordinator Ms. Sukla Dey will also attend the event along with representatives of the recipient institutions.
At the beginning of the program, Sukla Dey will welcome all to join on the Book Donation Event to celebrate International Women’s Day. She will introduce the invited guests and participants.
