Mobile courts in separate drives realized Tk 2.37 lakh in fine from 248 people for not using mask in the last eight days until Tuesday.
In an effort to prevent the transmission of coronavirus, local administration conducted the drives in different parts of the district including in public transport and haat-bazzars from June 1 till June 8, said deputy commissioner Mohamamd Mamunur Rashid.
The Executive Magistrates conducted the drive from morning till evening, he said.Besides, the local administration also asked people to abide by the health guidelines and maintain social distance through loud speaker, he added.
