Dhaka– Gopibagh Friends Association notched an emphatic nine-wicket victory against Kathalbagan Green Crescent Club in their Group A match of the 24-team Dhaka Second Division ODM Cricket League at Fatullah Outer Stadium in Narayanganj on Saturday. Batting first in the rain-hit curtailed 20-over-a-side match, Kathalbagan scored 99 for all in 19.5 overs. Gopibagh chased down the target scoring 102 runs for 1 in 12.1 overs where opener Rushad Hossain hit unbeaten 58 runs and Abu Newaz Likon added not out 26 runs. The day’s two other Group A matches –Dhaka Wonderers Club vs Young Pegasus-A and Eskaton Sabuj Sangha vs Amber Sporting Club — were abandoned due to rain at Bangladesh Krira Shikkha Protisthan (BKSP) Ground 4 and 3 respectively.
