Mymensingh, 14 Jan – Three leaders of Bangladesh Chhatra league (BCL) asked for subscription allegedly by detaining a motorbike of a university employees.The victim employee was Md Mehedi Hasan, section officer of Anatomy and Histology department of veterinary science faculty. He alleged that, on Friday evening BAU BCL joint-secretary Mohammad Al Amin and Shamim Akram brought the motor cycle from me at university Kamal-Ranjit market.
Later on Saturday, joint-secretary Shamim Akram and Vice-president Atikur Rahman demanded one lakh taka in exchange of motor bike but the employee refused to give subscription.
The incident was minimized at the interference of University employee Parishad and the university administration along Boira union chairman Abdul Malek as BCL leaders gave back motor bike on Sunday at 1:30 pm.
Al Amin said that, I can’t hand over the motor cycle as one of my younger brother brought it. Denying for subscription, Shamim Akram said that, wanting subscription is beyond the question.
Contact was not possible with Atikur Rahman and BAU BCL president Sabuj Kazi and general secretary Miah Mohammed Rubel as they did not receive the phone call. – BAU Correspondent
