Rajshahi, Dec 25 – Members of Border Guard Bangladesh detained three members of Border Security Force (BSF) of India from Char Majhar Diyar area in Godagari Upazila on Monday morning over their illegal intrusion into Bangladesh territory.Shamim Uddin, the commanding officer of BGB-1 battalion, said that three BSF members mistakenly entered in the Bangladesh side of the border around 7:30 am and they were wandering here and there. The BGB members later detained them.
The BSF members made the mistake due to thick fog and there is no demarcation line in the area, said the BGB official.
They will be handed over to BSF after holding a flag meeting, he added. – UNB
