3 electrocuted in 2 districts

Dhaka – Three boys died from electrocution in separate incidents in Joypuhat and Sirajganj districts on Friday.In Joypurhat, two minor children — Mahin, 9, son of Mahmud Hossain,and Sohag, 10, son of Aminul Islam of Sonapara village in Panchbibi
upazila, were electrocuted around 1 pm,UNB News Agency Reported.
Ashraful Islam, officer-in-charge of Panchbibi Police Station, said a pogramme was arranged marking the inauguration of new electricity connections at the village.When the guests and organisers went to the local mosque to say Juma prayers, Mahin came in touch with a live electric wire while playing near the stage. Sohag was also electrocuted when he tried to rescue Mahin.Being rescued by locals, they were taken to Panchbibi upazila health complex where doctors declared them dead.In Sirajganj, Barkat Ali, 14, son of late Abdul Hai and a Class-IX student of Enayetpur Senior Fazil Madrasah, died from electrocution at Bamongram village of Enayetpur in the afternoon.Locals said Barkat came in contact with a live electric wire around 2:30pm when he was taking bath in a pond near his house.He was rushed to Khaja Yunus Ali Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead.
