3 electrocuted in Kushtia, Chuadanga; One killed in lightning

Two brothers were electrocuted at Nandia village under Sadar upazila
of the district on Wednesday.
The deceased were identified as Mokim Uddin, 40, son of Kafil Uddin
and his brother Hakim Uddin of the same village.
Police said Mokim came in contact with a live wire while he was
repairing electric line at his house. His younger brother Hakim came
forward to help him but both of them died on the spot.
Being informed, police recovered the bodies and sent to Kushtia
Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
A man was killed in lightning in village Zorinda in the outskirts of
Rangpur city here amid inclement weather, police and local sources
said.  The victim was identified as Tota Mian, 36, son of Lokman
Hossain of the same village.
The victim was walking by the roadside when the thunderbolt struck
killing him on the spot, the sources said.

Meanwhile, a schoolboy died from electrocution at Ishwarchandrapur
village in Damurhuda upazila on Wednesday.
The deceased was identified as Tushar, 12, student of class IV of
Ishwarchandrapur Government Primary School and son of Nasiruddin of
the village.
Witnesses said Tushar came in contact with a live electric wire and
died on the spot while he was trying to catch a bird in a bamboo
cluster near his school, around 2.00pm.
Police later recovered the body from the spot. -BSS, Kushtia &
