Three members of a family were injured critically as a gas cylinder exploded in a house at Majibarghat in Kamrangirchar here on Saturday.
The injured were identified as Joly Begum, 27, her one and a half years old son Alif and her mother Aklima Begum, 50.Police said a fire broke out in the house of Joly following the explosion of gas cylinder while cooking around 10:45 am that left the trio burn injured.
They were rushed to the burn unit of Dhaka Medical College Hospital.
Among them, Alif sustained 95 percent burn injuries, Joly 85 per cent while Aklima 50 per cent, hospital sources said. – UNB
