A Dhaka court on Monday placed three persons including two Sub-Inspectors of Police in a case filed in connection with dacoity.
Magistrate Nuru Mia of the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate (CMM) Court of Dhaka passed the order after hearing.
The accused are Jatrabari Police Station SI Monjurul Habib, Ramna Police Station SI Mujahidul Islam and one Russel Ahmed. Earlier, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case also Khilkhet Police Station SI Moinul Islam sought a ten-day remand for each of the accused.
The First Information Report (FIR) of the case says that twelve alleged dacoits obstructed three officers of Bikash on Kuril flyover while they were carrying Tk 71 lakh 35 thousand of the mobile banking company and took away the amount at gunpoint. Besides, Bikash official Rubel was injured seriously in the incident.
Managing Director Obaidul Kabir of Techniques Distribution Limited filed the case with Khilkhet Police Station of the capital.
The accused were under police custody in an another extortion case and later they were shown arrested in the dacoity case. – Court Correspondent
