Three persons were killed and five other injured ,two of them seriously, in a road accident on the Bogra-Nagarbari Highway at Parkula Bazar area under Shahjadpur upazila of the district on Monday morning.
he deceased were identified as Ibrahim Hossain, 50, Shahdat Hossain, 30, and Shamsul Islam, 45. They are all inhabitants of Garadha village of the same upazila.Police said the accident occurred when a Bogra bound truck collided head-on with a CNG-run auto-rickshaw in the area from opposite direction, killing two passengers of auto-rickshaw on the spot and injuring 6 others.
Of the injured, two persons were admitted to Bogra Ziaur Rahman Medical College and Hospital in critical condition.
The remaining injured were admitted to Shahjadpur Upazila Health Complex where one person succumbed to his injuries.
