Satkhira – Three women, including a mother and her daughter, were killed and two others injured as a bus hit a human hauler (locally known as Nasimon) on Satkhira-Jessore highway in Chhagoria area of Sadar upazila on Monday morning.The deceased was identified as Sahida Khatun, 35, wife of Abdur Rouf, aresident of Chupria village in the upazila, her daughter Salma Khatun, 17 and Amena Khatun, 35, wife of Jakir Hossain, a resident of Gopinathpur village of the Kolaroa upazila.Emdad Sheikh, officer-in-charge of Sadar Police Station, said a Satkhira-bound bus of ‘AK Paribahan’ hit the human hauler in the area around 7:45am, leaving the duo dead on the spot and three others including Amena injured. On information, police recovered the bodies.The injured were admitted at Satkhira Sadar Health Complex where Amena succumbed to her injuries around 11am. (UNB)
